I still would like to write about the lingo used in online games. I don't know if I will be able to narrow it down to a specific game so much because the lingo is used over several games. Many online gamers play several of the same popular games and the lingo is used universally over several games. One interesting subject is that when you don't know the online lingo, people even use another word to describe you. They call you a "newb, noob, nub" all of which mean you are a "newby", meaning you don't have a lot of experience on the game. Most of the people who play the games act like elitests and I think it would be fun to write about the "heirarchy" in games. The lingo has a lot to do with it. People that are just starting and don't play very often are considered bad and are made fun of a lot whereas the people who play more and have less of a social life are considered great on the game. Perhaps that is why they play the games because they feel like someone of great importance whereas in real life they are just average in terms of social standing.
