There are many technologies that are important to me but the most important (in terms of media) would have to be:
1) the computer- I use the computer for the internet constantly for school, work, staying updated with news and information, and keeping in touch with everyone.
Other technologies (in terms of media)
2) television
3) playstation/xbox consoles
4) alarm clock
5) cell phone
6) car radio
Overall theme for autobiographies:
I'm thinking that gaming may be a good subject for my autobiography. I have played games my entire life and have loved playing them. I play all kinds of games (and probably wasted more hours of my life than I should have...) Lately I have not had much time to play them so I don't have the latest consoles or games, but I still play them every now and then with friends and know which ones are out.

I didn't even think of the alarm clock!! I've never really been exposed to the world of gaming, so I'll be intersted to see what you come up with. It looks like you've got a great start...
I think that would be cool to do gaming. It has changed so much over the years. It would be cool if you did like each part of the story like a level (as in a game)..I don't know how you would do that..but that would be cool. =)
Alarm clock, definitely good stuff.
Sounds like you got a theme. Have you figured out what medium you're going to use? It would be cool if you could do screen captures. Or if you’re going to use video capture actual scenes from the game. Don’t be afraid to get crazy Derek.
I like gaming a lot as a frame for your story. I also like Emily's idea about telling your story in levels.
Were you a gamer before you were a wider computer/Internet user? I'm just wondering if that's part of what took you to computer.
Great start. As for your mode, I agree you probably want to choose something that let's you include images.
